What can we as individuals do to survive in the face of the Economic Crisis? Remember, this economic disaster affects the whole world and we will have to live with it for more than a few years. My question is, since we know it will be a long time before the problem is resolved, what can we do? How does one generate a steady income to feed and cloth their family? With thousands of jobs being lost every month and no sign of them returning, it seems to me it is the only viable alternative. But don’t rush into it. Of course, we have to face the fact that a home based business or any business for that matter, online or offline requires planning and hard work. Sorry folks, there are no shortcuts.

Again, to survive and secure your financial future, you will need a computer with high speed Internet connection and basic computer skills. Remember, the fact is many people will have difficulty in making the transition from a 9 to 5 job to an independent business owner. When you think about, you may realize that conditioning over many years of working for someone else robs you of your independence. What are their reasons for wanting to start a home based business? I find that most people want the freedom from having to answer to a boss. For others it’s a way to generate enough cash to make ends meet. For me, the motivation was for independence and financial security. You will have to keep accurate records of all transactions for the government and file taxes. Yes, it is true, death and taxes are inevitable. It’s the same for any business offline or online.
