Residual income programs are built on people recruiting people. One person sells their business idea to another who joins and becomes part of the down line to help earn that person money. Not all resdiual income work at home programs are equal. The one thing all businesses need, to be successful, is customers. The problem with most of these programs is that your customer are largely the people you have recruited into your work at home business as distributors. If they quit, you lose your customer.

Selling is all about appealing to a person’s emotions. Promoters try to get a person to feel passionate about what they do, so they will buy into it. The process of selling is showing passion and getting others to feel that passion about what is being sold. What’s wrong with a job? Can you generate income without a job?
First, let me say that anyone with a full-time job is just a hired hand and has no control over their financial future? Let’s face it, as long as you depend on a job, you will never become financially independent. That smacks of modern day slavery without the whip and chains.

Do you know the power of blogging? If done correctly, it can become a very powerful way to obtain top positions for your home based business and help you build a residual income?

According to Wikipedia, “a blog is a website where entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.” There are millions and millions of blogs today, but its origin were really from online diaries. I remember several years ago, a group of team members had a forum that I belonged to and we would post dialy articles and make comments about all aspects of developing a home based business, leadership, coaching to other areas such as, the most effective ways to create a residual income. That was before blogs became mainstream as they are today.

Since 2004, blogging has become mainstream for companies, organizations, politics, TV and home based business professions. One recent estimate, there are approximately 100 million plus blogs and growing exponentially daily. A blog is simple to set up and in basic terms is a website about whatever you want to write about and post online. Whenver you search for information on Google, you will likely come across multiple blogs on any subject today. To find out more about the types of blogs and how to set one up, I would suggest you just Google it.

How does bloging help your home based business?

In order to get top placements on Google, one needs to understand that good relevant original content is king on Google. Your central focus as it applies to blogging for the search engines and achieving top rankings is to write around keywords. No I don’t mean babble, but good content that will help your readers with their home based business and ultimately help them achieve a residual income. For example, if you want to build a home business presence online, one key phrase that you could focus on is residual income in your postings. You don’t need to keep mentioning residual income in every line, but randomly and thougtfully in your article is an effective strategy.

Part of the power of blogging is to write daily and consistently post your information in various blogs. For example, when I write an article about a home based business, I post to places like blogger, blogfather, and bloglines. I have noticed that Google will pick them up and index them on their databases usually within a day. There is no quick fix to obtaining top positions on the search engines with blogging and anyone that advises otherwise is naive or lying to you to get your money. I can blog at hundreds of great websites for free by the way, so don’t pay someone to do this. Just sit down and write some stuff, that’s what I do to build a successful home based busines.

To optimize your blogging experience while building your home based business, I would suggest you bold your keyword or phrase a couple of times. I would not suggest you do it for the entire article. The search engine spiders seem to like it and take notice of the keywords bolded. Always include your name and a couple of other links in your blog to your primary website and even a couple of other blogs. It has been my understanding that you can place the same content in multiple blogs and you will not be penalized by the search engines. Just don’t try and copy other information that doesn’t belong to you as those search engine spiders may pick it up. This will further you ability to generate a residual income in your home business.

Please don’t fall victim to those professing they have some super new software program to get instant top ranking positions on Goole in 1 day. It takes time to build a home based business and develop a residual income. Most people simply do not have the patience to do this on a daily basis. A Roadmap to Success – Home Based Business by Darrell Lischka

Part 1

Have you ever wanted to start a home based business? Do you know how to develop a passive residual income or start a home business? Why do you want a home based business? These are important questions you must ponder and give some thought to. How do I get started or where do I go to learn about all this stuff? If you are reading this, I hope it’s because you wish to build a peaceful residual income and take control of your life.

From all that I have learned, read and observed over the past 10 years in the network marketing profession, successful people have 3 common traits that they have to build a solid passive residual income.

Those 3 elements are:

(1) A big “Why”
(2) Heart
(3) Being Coachable

Without those 3 elements as a foundation, everything else doesn’t matter in my opinion. You see – those 3 critical traits sets the stage for building a successful home based business and going through the ups and downs of creating a residual income. One must seriously consider their “Why” – because it will require they invest 10-15 hours a week over the next 3 to 5 years minimum if they want a solid home business. If it’s only for the money, they will not last because money at some point in the future will not be the driving force to building a passive residual income. Your why is your core desire about why you want to invest so much time in a home based business and what is it that you truly want out of life. For example, it could be to have your significant other home with the kids on a full time basis. It could be to have a better quality of life for your family, taking an extra vacation, purchasing a new vehicle or all of the above.

In other words, is your “why” big enough to push you through those challenging times when your business is not going so well or its late at night and your tired in need of some sleep. Successful people have a big why and are willing to forgo some sleep, invest some extra time away from the family to get the business going. By the way, to have a successful home based business and develop a residual income, you will sacrifice some time with your family. It’s simply not possible to work full time, develop a home business and devote the same time to your family. I’m not suggesting this will last forever, but your why needs to be important enough that you understand the reason you are doing this home based business. It’s because you want a better quality of life.

The second element is you need to truly care about helping others succeed and having a heart. Help enough people get what they want and you will in time achieve your level of success in a home based business. If you are only in this for yourself, good luck. Over the years I have seen many people fail in our business who didn’t fully understand the truth in that line. They felt they didn’t need the “Personal Growth” material, all they needed were the mechanics, and the Nuts & Bolts, scripts etc and they would just “do it”. With a touch of arrogance perhaps they just felt they knew all about that stuff and were above taking the time to learn how to become more every day.

Leaders are readers and understand that nobody is ever finished that journey. That one major quality of all real leaders is that they constantly are working upon themselves to be better and more each day. Remember, this is a people business and you need to invest time in people and develop a relationship over the long term to create a truly successful home based business and have a solid residual income in network marketing.

The third element and perhaps one of the most important is how coachable are you. Our business is a “People Business”. We are in the business of attracting quality people and helping them enhance their lives by enhancing the lives of others. If you are the type of person that knows it all, good luck again. It doesn’t hurt you to let someone else help you be successful in your home based business. I learned this from a very good friend and my coach – Cameron Howard. We used to butt heads a lot many years ago and still do some days, but I can truly say without hesitation that I have learned so much from him and am very thankful that he invested time with me. A good coach and mentor will be your roadmap, invest time in you and help you become successful to the best of their abilities.

We must be coachable to attract other people that are also coachable. As we grow into a stronger position of leadership, we develop the skills to coach the coaches to coach the coachable. Everybody is always a Leader-In-Training and remains so.

So, are you coachable? Take a moment and look at the results in your life to date and ponder where you may have been more trainable and thus more successful. Perhaps you have read all “those” books and feel you know better. If you attract others just like yourself, and you will – are they going to succeed with their present attitudes and philosophies? Experience has proven to us that only those that are truly coachable grow into positions of leadership. All leaders are fully aware that they must first be followers and remain open minded to learning more always. Does that describe you?

A good coach and mentor, is about being a friend and creating a relationship, realizing it just takes time. Respect is earned. If we do not invest time in people we will not be successful, thus we will not be able to develop a solid residual income or have a successful and long lasting home based business. The secret is to develop the skill to know who best to invest our time with. People are an intangible thing. It takes time to truly get to know another person and even at that we only know most people somewhat. To further complicate matters, there is no way to know beforehand just who is going to be successful. There is no way to truly be sure if a person’s desire to BE Free is so strong that they will go through the obstacles on the path to success. Many people enter our home business with a ton of people handling skills, leadership experience, family needs etc, in short, all that one would think they need to be tremendously successful and they never do a thing. Others, with little experience etc just go out and “do it” because they want it so bad they will pay the price to learn the skills necessary to succeed.

There is no proven way to measure the “Right Stuff” of a person until they are actually in the field doing it. There are “leading indicators” that suggest the potential is there however. These take time to ascertain and become aware of. It can’t be done effectively and consistently in a 5 or 10 minute conversation. It just takes time to get to know people and for them to get to know us. If you want a solid home based business and a solid residual income, realize you need to invest time in people, develop respect for each other and be a friend.

All of the skills needed to build a peaceful residual income are learnable. Every single person reading this document can BE another success story and have a solid home based business. Everybody!
