Home Business (50)

If you really do want to start a home business, and aren’t afraid to put in a lot of time and effort (especially in the beginning) there are a few important things you need to know to set you on the right path.

Firstly, watch your expenditure. An online home business can be one of the least expensive businesses to run. Most people already have the basics they need to get started (a computer with an Internet connection). However, the problem comes when they actually start looking at online businesses and means of making money. Suddenly they’re confronted with a million and one different products. ALL of which are supposed to guarantee success.

Many people spend hundreds, or even thousands of dollars, very quickly when they’re starting out in the world of an Internet home business, and soon find that most of it was money down the toilet. To avoid this, you need to work out what it is you’re going to be doing online and create a plan. There are numerous ways of making money on the Internet, including: eBay and other auction sites, affiliate marketing, Adsense (and other contextual advertising), as well as marketing your own product. Once you know what it is you want to do, then find one very good resource, and stick to it, The hint here is to do a bit of research first, and get honest reviews of any product before you purchase, rather than letting a sales letter induce you to purchase another worthless product.

The next thing you need to focus on is how you’re going to build your home business. Most online businesses start with a website (and although there are plenty of sites that promise you don’t need a website of your own, anyone who wants to make a long term living online will need a website). You then need a step-by-step plan you can follow, and you need to be able to follow it! One of the best things about working from home is also one of the most problematic, and that’s the fact that you can work your own hours. Unfortunately, if you’re not able to discipline yourself you may find that the hours actually spent in front of your computer aren’t enough. It helps if you can work out a day to day plan of exactly what you want to accomplish each day, so that you know you’re on the right track.

Finally, it’s worth remembering that a home business, even an online one, will require a certain amount of dedication and effort before you’ll be rewarded with results. It’s not a matter of whipping up a quick website and waiting for the money to start flowing in, and if anyone tells you it is, odds are, they’re lying! Be prepared for months (even years) of hard, consistent work, and you’ll reap the rewards, but fall for too many get-rich-quick schemes and promises and you’ll be back to your day job before you know it.

Home Business – Make Money Selling Domain Names (46)

business opportunity, Hinkley, make money, home business, work at home

For so long I have been struggling to make money with data entry clerk programs only to find one scam after another. I can’t begin to tell you how much money and time I have wasted trying to work at home with this type of home business opportunity. Everyone wants to take your money up front (they call it set-up fee or account fee) and then they’re gone. Just like ghosts. I hear that there really are honest data entry positions on the Internet, however, I’m just going to give up as I found a better way to work my home business.

Who would have thought that money could be made from names? With the advent of the Internet, industry regulars slowly realized the gold mine sitting literally under their fingertips in the form of domain names. These days, buying and selling domains has become a real business, with some highly sought-after names selling for five-digit figures. The domain name ClearDay.com, for example, reportedly sold for $60,000 while Mercury.com made a lot more — $700,000. Think there’s a market out there for your domain name? Here’s how you can make money from a name:

Do a search on domains that have a potential or those that have shown some sort of following in the past few months. Look for names that have registered a minimum of 1,500 to 2,000 hits 30 to 60 days prior to your search. If you’re willing to pay more, look for domains that have registered five-figure hits because that’s an assurance that these domains already have a strong following. You can either sell the domains back to their former owners or have interested parties bid on them. Either way, you’ll profit from your efforts.

You can’t always spend hours online searching for domains to buy. Try online grabbing systems that let you automatically bid on domains you’re interested in. Sites such as Pool.com and Snapnames.com are just two of these sites. You’ll pay them a fee if they successfully grab the name on your behalf. Before you can sell your domain, you have to be registered. That’s how you can be ‘legally’ recognized. Getting the name registered also bestows upon you the right to claim it and if you wish, sell it later.

Registering a domain name may be done for a limited period of time, usually as short as 12 months to as long as 10 years. Beyond the chosen period, the registration expires and you can choose to renew it and continue to claim ownership over it. Or, you can choose not to; at which point the domain name will be made available to another buyer. This is where you can sell the domain and make money with your home business.

Another option to look at is to build traffic to your domain. If you want to take this route and build your domain from scratch, be prepare to work. If you have a domain name that you created by yourself or bought, you need to make it valuable to potential investors. Offer high quality content, build a reputation, link up with quality sites, allow your visitors to interact using your website. Once you start appearing on major search engines’ radar and gain a good following, you raise the value of your website and your domain. When the time is ripe, you can then sell that domain for a nice, fat profit.

If you don’t mind speculating either course may be a good route to take with a home business. Just remember, though that it can go either way in which the domain name gets sold or it gets ignored.

This Home Based Business Makes Money with Postcards (40)

This Home Based Business Makes Money with Postcards (40)

Hinkley, home business, makes money, postcards, work at home, home based business

Wouldn’t it be great if you could start a Home Based Business that offers a service that is always in demand, requires no special skills and thrives in
any economic condition? Imagine that you can start this home business for less than the cost of a tank of gasoline!

Well imagine no more because starting and operating a home business as a print broker is that perfect business. Think about this. Business people need business cards, postcards, printed forms, and documents. Every business, club, group, or organization in any town, city, or county… need and use various printed forms and documents in doing business. What a perfect way to make money at home.

The cold hard fact is… businesses and business people need printed forms and documents to operate! And, they need these forms and documents over and over again. Virtually any business or business person you can think of uses at least two or more types of documents or forms that need to be printed.

As a home based business print broker, you simply take orders and forward them to printers who do the work for you wholesale, and ships the work to your customers.

Starting a home business as a print broker is almost too easy, and will grow to make as much money as you desire without paying a penny for advertising or getting more customers. How can this be possible you say? In the print business, there is a term called co-op printing. It is simply one customer’s non-conflicting document being printed on the back of another customer’s document.

Co-op printing is how you as a print broker, easily grow your home business to make as much money as you desire… without spending one red cent on advertising. Here is a quick example how this works. John’s barber shop needs to drum up some more business, and John decides to have 1,000 flyers printed up on color paper to distribute locally. Local printers would charge about $50, plus tax for the job. You offer the same service for $40… if John allows you to print your non-conflicting discount printing services flyer on back of his. John saves 25% off his printing cost, and you get 1,000 of your advertisement printed and distributed free.

John is happy, and you are happy because it is a win-win deal for both of you. However, do you know what just really happened? You were actually paid to advertise and grow your home business because your printer only charged you $25 for the order. 1,000 people and businesses will see your discount printing services… which will cause more orders to come rolling in without any effort or expense on your part. And, you can repeat this free money making home business growth technique as often as you desire by offering co-op printing services to other customers and businesses.

Many home business print brokers have mistakenly used this technique too often, and found themselves overwhelmed with orders and money. So be careful when using this technique so you do not find yourself taking in more orders and money than you can take on with ease. There is probably no other home business you can imagine that is so easy, costs so little to start, recession proof, and actually pays you to grow it.

A Successful Home Business (30)

home business, work from home, make money, Hinkley

Are you looking at MLM for your
home business
? Please be very cautious, because with most MLM companies, the competition from within causes failure. In other words, a true MLM structure is self-limiting in growth by its own design. The failure rate is high because distributors run out of leads to talk to about the business. A minimum of 995 out of every 1,000 MLM-ers will LOSS money in MLM.

Let’s face it, the vast majority of us are not crack telemarketers, hate high-pressure sales tactics, and certainly do not enjoy the rejection that inevitably comes from cold-calling leads. If you look at the average distributor earnings as published by most MLM companies, you will see that the average earnings is only a few hundred dollars a year! And you can bet that those distributors have spent thousands of dollars on products and motivational books and tapes, and hundreds of hours being rejected, to earn those few hundred dollars… Will this be your Home Business?

You cannot build a home business on salespeople alone. You need a stable base of customers. Customers who purchase the products on a regular basis because they like them.

Our parent company is skilled in selling products to the end user, the customer, and then selling the buying customer to us, the business affiliates (BAs). Why would they do this you ask? This allows them to reduce their marketing costs and to create multiple streams of revenue at the same time. They call it Cooperative Marketing. We call it Good Business. It’s a win-win situation.

As a consequence, this model has no failure rate. For a one-time fee, you get commissions on their purchases for life. You don’t have to market to them, you don’t have to encourage them to purchase more products, you don’t even have to follow up with them unless you want to. The parent company does all that. This is totally different from the traditional MLM model!

This is a unique way of running your home business and is a way to success. It requires your immediate attention If you want to build a “real” business with “real” business people, please visit: Its Good Business

Why not choose Copywriting for your Home Business?

Posted on September 18th, 2008 in Work From Home | No Comments »

Why not choose Copywriting for your Home Business?(28)
Hinkley, home based business, make money, work from home

You’re probably thinking – that’s a huge risk!

You can make six figures a year without spending a fortune on university degrees, or having to invest in offices, employees or equipment. Most people who make a six figure income had to make a big investment in starting their home business. They had to spend thousands or tens of thousands on education, office space, salaries and equipment.

With your home business, as a freelance copywriter, you can expect to make the same six figures, but you don’t have to risk a thing. You won’t have to raise capital, get a loan from your bank or put yourself or your family at risk. As long as you have a command of the English language, own a computer, and have Internet access, you can be a freelance writer. That’s it – then watch the checks come in.

What kind of qualifications do you need to be a copywriter?

Would you believe – none! You can be 18 or 80. You can have a Ph.D. or not even have finished high school. You can have a job as a plumber right now, or as a banker, or have no job at all. You can live in a big city, or in a cabin up in the mountains.

You don’t need a Master’s Degree, heck; you don’t need a degree at all. What you do need is to have a desire to write and a little bit of tenacity to stick with it. Many, many people just like you have been able to make money as a freelance writer, and if they can do it, so can you! You can find help to guide you step by step along the way to make it much easier on you as a new writer.

An interesting question that may arise is, with the economy faltering as it is, will there still be as much demand for freelance writing? And the quick answer is a resounding yes! When times are tough, economically, companies will do all kinds of things to reduce costs. They’ll close stores and plants, and let as many employees go as they can. Even senior employees. But one thing they have to keep doing, if they want to survive, is sell their products or services as effectively as they can.

So you see, there is always a need for top copywriting talent as good writers help them move their products. One way or another, these companies absolutely have to keep selling. Even during an economic downturn or recession, good copywriters will still be in strong demand.

This is great news for a freelance copywriter. As you can see, you have a very secure home business!
