Work From Home

Do Work From Home Businesses Really Work?
I don’t know how many people really look forward to going to work on Monday morning. It is the start of the promise of another five days of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sounds kind of like a prison sentence, doesn’t it? Most of us are looking to work from home to get away from that. We are tired of working for a boss, so we join a program that promises success. According to statistics that can be found on Google or Yahoo, however, many of us who try to make a go of it fail at the rate of around 95%.
How does the saying go? How many times must I fall down before I can stand up and walk. Well, the same applies to success in a business. Do we have to keep on falling down, or do we finally come to a point where we are walking. Failure is easy to understand from my point of view. I happen to have
had over thirty-five years of experience getting a first-hand view of the dire situations that come upon human beings. This was as a result of my being in the medical field as an Emergency Physician and General Practitioner. But anyone can get the basic idea — just watch House. A supposedly world-class doctor who continues to experiment on the patients until he gets it right.
As we all know, there are no promises in life. Anything can – and does – happen, and it sometimes happens in a flash. It can be caused by some accident, disease, or who knows what. For example: a perfectly healthy-looking, non-smoking, thirty-five year old male dentist arrives at the ER having runs of ventricular tachycardia. Luckily, he responds to various treatments and makes it to the referral medical center to successfuly undergo quadruple-bypass heart surgery. I often wonder what his life was subsequently — did he resume work or was he partially or even totally disabled? Was a work from home opportunity in his future? There are people out there with the potential to really make a go of a home business, but circumstances keep them from pursuing that dream.
But what about the reality of things? After spending a lot of time in the medical care of many, many dismaying situations, reality can be scary. Trust me, the goings-on that may be seen on General Hospital certainly do happen in real life. Many times, I have had the opportunity to participate in the health and economic problems that pop up in the daily lives of regular people. A work from home opportunity, no doubt, would have significantly improved these life situations. It would have given them a degree of independence they had not experienced before.
